Your dashboard shows your requests waiting to be dealt with, unread parent messages, students who need to be deleted and your credit balance for texting. Under these you will see recent changes and updates to Career Central and an 'occupation peek' which shows you the number of students who have expressed interest in each job area. You can click to see the students in each area. You will also see an interview peek showing how many interviews each staff member has recorded.
Requests: If a student expresses an interest in Gateway, Trades, Taster Courses or any other request page you have created you will receive it as a request on your dashboard. Students might also make other requests eg references using their requests tab. If you click on your requests tab you will be able to view all requests.
For a new request click on edit.
You can then reply to the student and change the status to complete, in progress or cancelled. You can also message them via text or email to let them know you have received the request and are dealing with it. When the student logs in to their requests tab they will see their request history, the status of their request and an answer if you have replied to them.
Students to be deleted
Students who have left school (and have therefore not been seen by KAMAR/SMS in a set period of time) will appear on your “Students who need to be deleted” tab. If you click on this tab you have the option to delete them from Career Central. Their profile data will be gone but their contact details and leaving reason will appear under your “past students” tab. You can add a leaving reason before you delete them but if they have filled in the "leavers page" it will be done for you.
Deleting them is a good idea as you don’t want them to appear in your search groups and not realise they have left school.

This is where you will see messages sent from the Parent Portal.
Credit Balance for Texting
Here you will see your credit balance for texting and how many texts you are able to send. You can buy more text credits by contacting Career Central support.
Down the side of your dashboard are a list of other pages to visit as well as "careers setup" where you can customise Career Central to suit your school.
